At the discretion of its Management Committee (see About Us), Action Bequia allocates a limited amount each year from its General Fund to support sport on Bequia.

Some of the beneficiaries so far, such as Sailing, have the own dedicated page on this site. Others such as Athletics, Basketball, Cricket, Karate, Netball, Rounders and Swimming are shown in a series of photos below.

All requests have to be made in writing and recipients have to do something for Bequia in return such as ‘Cleaning Up’ a part of the island in which they have a particular interest. Apart from been useful in itself, we feel this helps establish an important link in people’s minds between receiving financial and help and doing something community based in return (click here for a typical letter to a succesful applicant).

As with other causes we support, existing recipients are asked to send in a report of how the money was spent with photographs to show it. Without this no further donations to that cause will be considered.

New applications from organisations and individual teams are encouraged through any member of the Coordination Committee.
