A focal point of Bequia life, the area under the almond tree is affectionately known as ‘Parliament’. The old tree was condemned as diseased and unsafe in 2016 so Action Bequia provided a replacement. We will also improve the circular seat around it at some stage when stakeholders can agree on what they want.
