This emergency water system at Union Vale created 20,000 gallons of storage tanks for the new well drilled in late 2011 as part of a European Union Water Exploration Project. The facility allows the public to draw potable water during times of shortage.
The project was initiated and lead by volunteers from 'Northern Grenadines Community Development Inc' (NGCDI) and the tanks funded by a very generous donation from Grenadines Partnership Fund (GPF) of US$75,000, part of which was routed via Action Bequia.
